Plain-language terms for buying original artwork from Natan Lawson Art Studio, Baltimore, Maryland. Buying a piece here means you're okay with everything below.

The work

Every painting is a one-of-one original — there are no editions, reprints, or replacements. Prices are in U.S. dollars. The price and availability charged at checkout are verified live against the studio's registry at the moment you buy; listed prices may change until then.

Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe on their secure checkout page — card details never touch this site's servers. Applicable sales tax, if any, is shown at checkout.

Changed your mind?

You can cancel an order for a full refund within 24 hours of purchase — just reply to your confirmation email. After that the sale stands, and because each work is one of one, all sales are final. (If something arrives damaged, that's a different story — see below, you're covered.)

Shipping & studio pickup

Your piece ships — or is ready for pickup — within 7 business days of purchase. Shipping is a flat rate shown at checkout, insured, currently within the United States. If you chose studio pickup (free, Baltimore), I'll email you within a day or two to set a time.

If it arrives damaged

Please open your package promptly and look the piece over. If anything is wrong, email me within 48 hours of delivery with photos of both the artwork and the packaging it arrived in — and hang onto that packaging.

Here's why the clock matters: shipments are insured, and carriers only honor damage claims that are reported quickly and documented well. Those photos and that box are the evidence that gets the claim paid. Report in time with photos and you're fully covered — I'll arrange professional repair, or a full refund on return of the piece, whichever fits the damage. Wait longer and the insurance window closes for both of us, so please don't sit on it.

Oversize work

Very large pieces can't ship at a flat rate and aren't sold through online checkout — they're marked accordingly, and the inquiry flow handles crating and freight individually.

The fine print

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Nothing here limits rights you may have under applicable consumer law. Questions before you buy are always welcome: hello@natanlawson.com.
